We've had the honour & pleasure meeting the man that is delcowizzid and having him stay with us the last few days. Talk about dedicated to the cause of horsepower, folded up sweatshirt under his arse and braced against the cage with laptop whilst i did my best to keep him in various load points and the speed at which he worked through i dunno how many tables tweaking it

. During power runs the thing was getting a bit out of shape when getting on peak torque and blowing away the rear tyres - the man wasn't the least worried and kept tweaking, do another run - tweak etc till we had a bit of drizzle then it was getting way dodgey and his laptop was getting wet so back to the shed for a smoko break and drop some pressure out of the rear tyres for a gap in the weather, today we went out to the car to put the stock computer back in and i sent delcowizzid out in it to test it. Traction limited

man i can't wait to get it to the track, missed 1st practice today cos' i haven't greensheeted yet but we went for a look see. not many cars really, the mate that owns the VK i first raced in has retired it and bought a VR from huntly and he had that out, it was smoking a fair bit which we quickly figured rear main. My mate with the VL has reshelled over the off season and it looks to be hooking up reasonably well. Talked to they guys in the pits and VR man asked me to listen to a noise - soon as he fired it up i said big end - bugger.
Hopefully i'll get the car greensheeted tomorrow and get it out there for a squirt next weekend and see if i need to swap diff gears before the season starts.
The speed at which delcowizzid can sort out a real tune absolutely stunned me and i am in awe of his work,

and it was really cool to shoot the shit over a couple of quiets with someone into engines and horsepower most likely more than myself

turned out to be switched on at a quizz night too
