were you trying to read a chip that has been removed from the board befor. i have found that the clip will some times not get proper connection from a chip that i have replaced, i all ways put it down to my poor soldering skills,................. factory soldered chips, my clip works every time.
i had a close up of my 3M clip and it looks identical to yours.

Hi Mark,

No it is a factory soildered cluster.

Are you using an external power supply?

What brand / model reader / writer are you using?

Thanks

according to their website it would be around $370 Aud & doesn't seem to be any sold anywhere else in the world?

But if it can read these eeproms IC maybe thats what your paying for?

would be interested to see what other eeproms they can read IC!

I checked out that Galep-4, No kidding.. 400usd. Thats some high end equipment Id say. Looking at the device list, I think it will do anything you ever come across!

Checked out some of their other programmers for shits and giggles.. and theres some up for over a $1000. Id expect it to do absolutely everything for that, even gold plated or something.
