I assume that's just to help with stopping the heat soak ?

Where is the intercooler core?
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

im with vlad on this, defiantly needs a core in that spacer,
why have one 202, when you can have 12 and counting, 30+ car graveyard just for fun aswell

$1100 for a whole water to air setup isnt that bad really, could probably do it cheaper, with there plate, a fish tank pump and a motorbike radiator, or a small car one

LOL, yes a whole W2A setup would be nice but it's not in the plans ATM however the LIM has been machined to suit should it ever eventuate. I'd probably not buy a whole kit, rather just the core and then make my own setup to suit as I think they can be improved upon.

Yep.

Although what we have discovered on my mates car is that the blower still gets fairly damn hot. My conclusion is that the little gearbox on the front of the blower creates plenty of heat itself. With my current setup on a cold day after cruising down the motorway the whole intake tract stays fairly cool until the back of the charger where elbow bolts on and it then progressively gets warmer till the snout which is getting fairly damn hot.
