I had heard it was actually based on the chev but aussie engineers made the changes. I remember reading it somewhere trustworthy(ish) from memory ill try and find where it wasimmortality wrote:LOL, but you're correct. Even the humble 308/304 was based on the Pontiac V8

No idea, but I will do some digging and see if I can find out. I have a couple mates who are programmers (one professional the other not so much) but neither have had any experience with automotive related stuff.

Thankyou for that one, I noticed quickly that there is a link there back to vl400's logger here, so I read through all of that and was very impressed by what I saw, like festy's. Spose im going to have to look further into linux programming and suitable hardware

Seems legit, couldnt see so well in the vid but I get the general idea. You said its got the analog out I need for the delco and the guage in one unit which are really the only things I require, needle type guage is just a preferance.
